The New Dimension is very proud to present a mind bending light and sound hi score challenge, written specially for the Simon Game Basic Jam, organised by Retro Programmers Inside and Phaze 101. This game is a BASIC programmed production, with some additional machine code enhancements, such as use of interrupts, fast screen display, etc and of course some awesome spaced out disco music on the title screen.
INSTRUCTIONS
On the title screen press one of the function keys to select the game skill level. The game skill level is based on the speed of the game.
This game requires a joystick in port 2 (or emulated as joystick in port 2). Repetition 64 is a mind bending game of light and sound.
The joystick controls represent the following colour:
UP = Red
DOWN = Yellow
LEFT = Green
RIGHT = Blue
When the blank screen appears, this indicates that the game is being set up. Once ready, it is time to play the game.
You are presented with the game screen with four lights. The computer will first play a sequence of lights, along with corresponding musical chords. After the computer has played its sequence, it is then your turn to repeat the sequence.
For every correct light selected, you will score 150 points.
For every complete sequence, you will score a bonus of 1,000 points. You will then move on to the next level which plays adds one extra colour and chord to the sequence.
For every 8 levels completed you will be awarded one extra life as well as the usual 1,000 points bonus.
If you select an incorrect light, you will lose a life. After all lives are lost, the game is over.
This game is a hi score challenge, so keep on scoring as many points as you can before you lose the game.
How far can you get before this game really plays havoc with your mind?
Good luck. You will need it.
