Weights and Crates (4K)
This is a fun little game I have made specifically at the last moment for the Reset Craptastic 2024 4K game compo. Although the competition started earlier on in the year, I was short of time to develop a few entries. So I have made only one for the compo.
INSTRUCTIONS
You are a worker at an explosives factory. You have been sent outside to the water logged shipping yard, where you are operating a conveyor belt, with crates on board.
SCORING POINTS
For every crate that passes points are scored. Yellow crates give 100 points and red crates award 200 points. Landing on yellow crates will stun you for a bit.
LOSING LIVES
If you are pushed to the weak point of the red rollers, a fault occurs on the belt, resulting in you falling into the water.
If you land on red crates or get hit by falling 10 ton weights will result in an instant death.
Everytime you lose a life you will restart the current level in which you are on.
COMPLETING A LEVEL
To complete a level, the crate count in the status panel must equal to 000. Otherwise the game will continue playing - unless you lose a life or the game is over. There are 16 levels in total, which ranges in difficulty. The first level starts slow going, then as soon as you progress further the game will get even harder.
After level 4, a falling weight will appear on screen at random. Then on level 9, you'll see two. On level 13, the weights will fall faster.

Install instructions
Download the zip file and extract it to your storage device. You can autorun it from VICE or use hardware like theC64, Ultimate 64 or a stock C64 with a 1541 Ultimate, SDIEC, etc or any other hardware that supports C64 files.

Fun little game, Richard! Really enjoyed it. It reminds me Scare Bear for some reason :D. With these SFX I thought for a second it's actually done in SEUCK! Good luck with the compo as well :}.
Thank you. Although the sound effects did sound like SEUCK, they were actually not made using SEUCK. Instead I used a PC based application called Sid SFX V0.0.2, which can be found on itch :)
